The concert title is a quotation from an ancient Chinese proverb which summarizes an apparently easy concept: in most cases the human mind seeks answers even when they are not necessary just like the bird: “it doesn’t sing for an answer but for a song”, it only feels like singing.
The proposal by famous musicians Leonardo Grittani and Maurizio Zaccaria is an invitation to leave behind the daily routines and to fully enjoy the beauty of music.
In this case it will be the music by Franz Schubert and by Chinese tradition with texts which evoke exotic sound like Luminous Breath by Carmen Fizzarotti, a 2017 composition inspired by the image of an eastern woman singing a bamboo flute decorated with peacock feathers. The duo in 2018 recorded for the label OnClassical the complete work of the Austrian composer for flute and piano.
