Program for the Admission Exam: Candidates free choice, a piece for soloist flute or a movement of a concert for flute and orchestra. The candidates should attach to the registration form the programm they intend to play in the admission exam.
Course program: concertistic repertory for soloist flute, for piano and flute, for flute and orchestra or for flute ensembles. Authors are candidates’ free choice.
MICHELE MARASCO He played as first flute in the Zurigo Opera, in the Orchestra of the Lipsia radio, in Genova at the Theatre “Carlo Felice” , in the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome, at the Filarmonica of the Scala, at the Fularmonica “Arturo Toscanini” of Parma and in the Orchestra della Toscana. He also played as solo flute or in chamber orchestras in prestigious place such as the Carnegie Hall in New York, Saint John’s Smith Square in London, the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Sala Verdi at the Conservatory of Milan and in the most important european festivals (Maggio Musicale fiorentino, Ravenna Festival, Settembre Musica in Turin, Salisbourg and Strasbourg Festivals). He is teacher in various Masterclasses in Florence,Rome and Modena. He has been invited as professor in various seminars at the University of Cincinnati and Valencia. Also invited by Marco Pollini and Luciano Berio to partecipate as soloist at the Salisbourg Festival in 1999, at the Pollini project in 2001 at the Carnegie Hall in New York, in 2002 at the Kioi hall in Tokyo, in 2003 at the new Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, in 2006 at the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, in 2009 at the Teatro della Scala, at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and in Paris at the Salle Pleyel.
PAOLO TABALLIONE Was born in Rome in 1981. In 2008 he won the contests for Principal flutist of the “Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino” and of the “Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna” and from September 2008 he is Principal Solo Flute of the “Bayerische Staatsoper” of Munich. After graduation in 2001 at the Conservatoire “S. Cecilia” in Rome under the guidance of M° G. Schiavone he specialized with the biggest flutists of the international panorama such as M. Marasco J.C. Gerard, M. Larrieu, D. Formisano, M. Caroli, and W. Schultz.He continues his music studies in Switzerland at the “Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Genève” in the classroom of M° J. Zoon and in 2007 he took a “Diplôme de Soliste avec Distinction” with the highest honours. In 2008 he graduated in composition with the highest honours in the classroom of M° F. Carotenuto at the Conservatoire “S. Cecilia” in Rome.
