PIERPAOLO MAURIZZI Founder of the Trio Brahms and of the Überbrettl Ensemble, he owe his musical training to Lydia Proietti, Piero Guarino and Dario De Rosa. Fruitful were his encounters with Pierre Fournier, Franco Gulli and Detlef Kraus. Since his success in the J. Brahms contest of Amburgo in 1983, he has dedicated his artistic life to the chamber music. He performed in Europe, United States, Canada and South America, he was also invited in the most important festivals such as Bergamo, Bologna, Brescia, Cremona, Gmunden, Guanajuato, Oporto, Palermo, Praga, Ravenna, Recklinghausen, Salisburgo, Venezia and Vienna. As a soloist, he played directed by Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Mikka Eichenholz, Peter Hirsch, Giorgio Magnanensi, Karl Martin and Emilio Pomarico, He played the first executions of some composition by Alberto Caprioli, Arnaldo De Felice, Adriano Guarnieri, Giorgio Magnanensi, Andrea Molino, Luca Mosca, Claudio Scannavini and Andrei Tabechki. Since 1986 he has been Music Chamber Professor in the Conservatory of Parma. He is founder and leader of the Music Chamber Ensemble of The Conservatory A.Boito. More than 150 young musicians, coming form 15 countries all over the world, have participated to the executions of that Ensemble.
